Founded in 1975, Winkler Tree & Lawn Care has grown to be one of the largest comprehensive tree and lawn care companies in the Chicagoland area. In addition to being Illinois’ first nationally accredited tree care company by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), we are a member of both the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the Society of Commercial Arboriculture (SCA). Additionally, our staff includes six ISA-certified arborists in Chicago with over 100 years of cumulative experience!
As a local business, we do more than just remove and trim trees. Our Chicago arborist and plant care experts provide tree preservation services, such as root and/or crown pruning, that can be performed as regular maintenance, or can assist in minimizing impact to trees during construction projects. We also offer fertilization programs, disease treatments, and lawn grub control programs in Chicago that can protect your trees from disease and/or invasive insects.
In addition to our tree and shrub services, we also provide a complete line of lawn care services which include turf aeration and fertilization programs. These include grub and mosquito control services in the Chicago area, as well as broad-leaf weed control.
Healthy looking lawns don’t happen all by themselves. Our team of expert lawn care specialists and arborists in Chicago can prescribe a fertilization and treatment package that will be tailored specifically to your property’s needs. Additionally, we will take the time to explain the circumstances that are specific to your lawn’s deficiencies. With fertilization, disease treatments, overseeding, and more Chicago area services, our arborists and lawn care specialists can help you achieve the well-manicured lawn and trees that will make your yard the talk of the neighborhood.
Submit your request via phone, text, or online. You'll be working with a 100% Local Client Service Rep who personally knows all of our Arborists, Crews, and Technicians.
At your discretion, an Arborist can either meet with you in-person or stop by your property to independently assess the situation. Typically available within 0-2 days.
The Arborist will assess the trees on your property and provide you with a Proposal within 24 hours.
You can accept the work as described, or you can work with the Arborist to refine the written description to ensure you get exactly what you need. Once you're satisfied, you give us the "Go Ahead" by accepting the Proposal.
Most tree care jobs are completed at the earliest available appropriate time. If you're flexible with when we complete the work, it typically allows us to complete the work sooner (a "Just Do" job). However, if the work needs to be given a specific scheduled date, the Arborist will work with you to arrange it (a "Scheduled" Job).
Our team will visit your property to complete the required services. Our Arborists, Crew Leaders, and Technicians will be available to answer any questions you have and to ensure your 100% satisfaction.
An electronic invoice will be sent to you within 24 hours. You can pay your Invoice with an in-person check or cash the day of service, securely online (via ACH or credit card), or by mailing a check.
If a tree damages your property, falls onto your home or car, or blocks your driveway, our Chicago tree service team is here to provide the emergency services!
